For many years, our customers have been asking us for sneakers to accompany our socks. In response to their request, and wishing to engage in a more responsible fashion, we have developed our Basket Raisonnée: a sneaker that respects the environment.

Low environmental impact

By privileging a short circuit and already existing materials, this basket limits greenhouse gases, it is an ecological basket.

No animal substances were used in this basket, guaranteeing the respect of the animals but also the use of less polluting materials.

We are committed to taking back our sneakers at the end of their life, to give them a new life and to integrate them into a recycling system.

Creation and Manufacturing

For this sneaker, we went around French manufacturers and selected La Manufacture 49, based in Mauges-sur-Loire, for their desire to accompany us on this project and for their design office ready to shake things up to integrate our "slightly crazy" request to have a sneaker that is entirely recycled. Two years of work and research later, we are proud to launch this eco-responsible sneaker in partnership with them.

Eco-design

From the imagination of the product, we wanted an eco-responsible product: durable, timeless, made in France and with environmentally friendly materials.

Design office and material research

Each component of the tennis was thoroughly researched by the design office, for its recycled component but also its resistance over time.

Material cut

Each element of the sneaker is cut out of rolls of material using cookie cutters developed specifically for our sneaker. The top of our sneaker is composed of 6 pieces.

Sting preparation

The outer material and inner lining are then assembled, the superfluous material is cut away, and the outline of the upcoming stitching is drawn.

The sting

The 6 pieces that make up the top of the sneaker are assembled by machine, the eyelets are then placed and this forms the upper of the sneaker.

The spit

At this stage, the sole and the insole (which is the backbone of the shoe) are prepared with glue.

The assembly

The sole and the upper go to the assembly line and are then assembled together after many steps requiring a unique know-how.

Finishing and cleaning

Finally, we insert the insole, put on the laces, clean the pair and put it in the box, ready to sublimate your feet!

Des matières recyclées

Durable, recyclée et Made in France.
Votre basket recyclée vous sera livrée dans une boîte en carton recyclé, sans rembourrage pour éviter les déchets inutiles.

Le recyclé , quesako ?

Les matières recyclées sont créées à partir de matières existantes (polyester, textile, polyuréthane...) qui sont broyées en copeaux. Certaines matières sont ensuite refilées pour créer des bobines, d'autres sont directement utilisées pour recréer de nouvelles matières. À partir des bobines de fil, on crée une nouvelle matière (en générale textile) qui sera un constituant d'un nouveau produit à base de matières recyclées.

Privilégier des circuits cours pour diminuer notre impact environnemental, c'est une vraie priorité chez Archiduchesse, c'est pourquoi nous avons choisi un fabricant français pour notre basket, et des matériaux français ou européens (pour ceux qu'on ne pouvait pas trouver en France).
